Dr. Kheriaty is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Director of the Program in Medical Ethics at the University of California Irvine School of Medicine. He serves as chairman of the clinical ethics committee at UCI Medical Center.

Among the subjects we’ll be discussing are physician-assisted suicide and medical ethics.

ASSISTED SUICIDE LAW INTRODUCES INCENTIVES FOR DEATH

Dr. Aaron Kheriaty says Oregon’s Assisted Suicide laws have created situations where well-documented cases of abuse have occurred. The economic incentive and the pressure to end ones life will be great, he says, if similar laws are passed in other states.
