YOUR CHANCE TO GIVE A SECOND CHANCE TO PEOPLE AND PUPS
Have you met Bishop Kevin Vann’s dog Griffin? How about Griffin’s new friend Gracie? Both are shelter dogs that found a home and purpose with Bishop Vann. The two pups participate in Pathways to Hope’s Cell Dog program targeted to at-risk youth, children with autism, and incarcerated adults. Their unconditional love is soothing and nurturing and Pathways to Hope brings them to those in need. The program was featured in a PBS special entitled “Second Chances.”
Now the organization is asking for your help. During the Orange County Community Foundation’s special “Giving Day,” April 21 to 22 – a 30-hour period that offers an opportunity for generous benefactors to support their favorite organizations – you can help support this impactful program with your online donation. Similar in format to the well-known Kickstarter campaigns, this opportunity helps funds local nonprofits and even offers an incentive award for those organizations that are most successful. To donate, set an alert on your calendar for April 21 and then visit https://iheartoc.org/#npo/pathways-to-hope to donate online and support a second chance for people and for pets.
