STEVE MUZZY APPOINTED BOARD CHAIRMAN FOR OCF

The Orange Catholic Foundation leads efforts to support the financial viability of the ministries of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange always following donor intent.

The Orange Catholic Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce that local business leader and entrepreneur, Stephen Muzzy, has been appointed Chairman of the Board of the Orange Catholic Foundation. Muzzy has served on the board for six years. 

The Chairman of the Board of the Foundation leads efforts to support the financial viability of the ministries of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange always following donor intent. The board oversees endowments and charitable funds, manages fundraising and stewardship education programs, monitors financial grants, and ensures that investment policies align with Catholic social teaching. 

The Orange Catholic Foundation is an independent charitable organization of lay leaders and volunteers, fostering a culture of generosity and Christian stewardship, responsible for securing philanthropic resources to support and strengthen the mission of the Diocese of Orange. The Foundation seeks to foster the growth of charitable giving in the diocese. 

“The Orange Catholic Foundation plays a critical role in facilitating giving to causes in our Catholic community,” Muzzy explains. “It enables everyone to give back in a way that honors what she or he values most, whether it is Catholic education, priest retirement, a parish or school, charitable outreach in our community or a myriad of other giving opportunities.” 

Mr. Muzzy is managing director of MF Partners, Newport Beach, California, focusing on real estate and late-stage private equity investments. He serves on the Board of Directors of Strategic Student & Senior Housing Trust. He also is a member of the Board of Visitors at the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management, McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship. 

Steve is an entrepreneur, a passionate advocate for philanthropy and a champion for social return on investment. He has held a variety of executive management positions with middle market commercial banking groups at One West Bank, JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Fargo. 

Steve and his wife Cathy are active members of St. Kilian Parish in Mission Viejo, California.
