St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Costa Mesa hosted its annual Jog-A-Thon event on Friday, March 31.
Each year, students actively participate by getting pledges from family and friends in order to raise funds for necessary school improvement projects. Then on the date of the Jog-A-Thon, each class runs laps in the school field during a set time period.
Parents and teachers cheered on their students as they ran through balloon arches. Due to the recent wet weather in our area, the field was a bit muddy – but a great time was had by all!
Some projects that raised funds will support include a marquee for families to stay up to date on events, a portable softball backstop and the beginnings of a new gym.
This year’s fundraising goal is $50,000.
