Commitment to academic excellence

With a 1:1 ratio of technology devices in grades second through eighth, our teachers have more options for differentiated learning to meet the needs of each individual student and to maximize their potential. All teachers are credentialed and are also certified in religious education. Class sizes are small and the school offers a variety of enrichment programs including music, art, field trips, participation in essay and art contests, a buddy program for younger and older students, after-school sports, and cheerleading.

St. Irenaeus Parish School consistently outperforms local public schools in our servicing areas. Standardized tests are conducted three times per year to allow for teachers to adjust their curriculum to meet the needs of every student. Reading scores indicate that 90% of our students exceed or meet the state standards, and 70% of our students exceed or meet the standards in math. A full-time learning support teacher works with students with learning challenges so that all students can achieve to their full potential. Graduates of St. Irenaeus Parish School have proven to be successful in high school and beyond.

Safe environment

A safe environment is a top priority for our teachers, staff, administration, and of course our students. With our enclosed campus, parents can be assured that their children are safe and secure.

Faith-based education

St. Irenaeus Parish School welcomes applicants from all religious backgrounds. We provide a joyful, faith-based learning environment where Catholic faith tradition is integrated into all subjects. Students have the opportunity to grow in their faith through school Masses, retreats, religion classes, sacramental preparation, and stewardship programs. All children learn that they are each a unique child of God and how to share the teachings of Jesus with everyone they encounter.

Community life and stewardship

The school community at St. Irenaeus expresses our faith by serving others through a number of stewardship projects, school-wide and at the grade level. These community service projects help our children recognize their own God-given talents and how to share them with the world. Our Stewardship Program helps our children develop the joy and satisfaction that comes from living out the gospel message of serving others. Some of our projects include monthly food collections for those in need in our parish, gathering coats and blankets annually for the homeless, making scarves and delivering them to the elderly in local nursing homes at Christmas, and recycling to raise funds for various organizations. St. Irenaeus Parish School is also a supporter of Catholic Relief Services and the American Heart Association.
