By STAFF     2/26/2016

The Knights of Columbus Cypress Council #8599 is once again hosting special Lenten Fish Fry dinners on Fridays at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church in Cypress. Everyone is invited.

According to Knight Mike Mercer, you can savor the delicious meals on February 26; and on March 11 and 18th, at 5 p.m. in the St. Irenaeus Parish Hall on Grindlay Street, between Lincoln and Orange in Cypress

Council Grand Knight Virgil Smith says it’s not only a way to have a family night out, but also a way to help local organizations such HSA (Home School Association); H.O.P.E (Helping Other People Everyday); Cub and Boy Scouts; and other Knight of Columbus services in Cypress and surrounding communities.

On the menu are fish and chips dinners with suggested donations of just $7. It’s free for children under age 4. More options include: Clam chowder in a sourdough bowl, $6; two slices of cheese pizza for $5; soda for $1 and no charge for coffee and water.

The Knights of Columbus Cypress Council 8599 has been serving the local community and Saint Irenaeus Parish since 1984. The Council is composed of nearly 200 members, and extends an open invitation for others to join.
