PRIEST WHO WAS ISIS HOSTAGE PRAYED ROSARY

Father Bazi found calm and comfort as he prayed the rosary using the chains that bound him

By CATHOLIC NEWS SERVICE     5/12/2016

Father Douglas Bazi, of Iraq, was held hostage by ISIS for 9 days. During that time, he realized that the 10 links that dangled from the chains that bound his wrists could be used as a rosary.

During the time he was held he was tortured at night, but asked to forgive his persecutors during the day.

He says we have to work for long term change of the constitution of Iraq in order to bring peace to all.
