The University of Notre Dame Glee Club will perform during concerts at two Orange County parishes as part of their January 2019 California Tour, offering exciting evenings of a cappella music.
They will appear at San Juan Capistrano Mission Basilica on Thursday, January 3 at 8:00 p.m., and at Saint Martin de Porres Church in Yorba Linda on Friday, January 4 at 7:30 p.m. The concerts are free and open to the public; offerings will be taken.
Under the direction of Daniel Stowe, the Glee Club’s program, titled “Give Us Music,” will include Renaissance motets of Victoria, Mendelssohn lieder, contemporary poetic settings, newly-commissioned works, folk songs, spirituals, close harmony, and songs of Notre Dame.
