The University of Notre Dame’s premier all male a cappella group The Undertones thoroughly entertained an overflow crowd at Our Lady Queen of Angels Saturday night, Jan. 13.

The performance, staged by the Notre Dame Club of Orange County (NDCOC), was just one stop on the group’s California tour. Among the estimated 250 people in attendance was The Most Reverend Kevin W. Vann, Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange.

The free concert, open to the public, provided a stirring and stimulating evening of music. In their unique blending of voices, the 11 singers presented an eclectic program, featuring songs from Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Zedd, and rousing versions of Beatles and Beach Boys classics.

NDCOC President Mark Merriman, the evening’s emcee, and Board Member Catherine Holland, event organizer, said the club greatly appreciated the cooperation and assistance offered by Our Lady Queen of Angels’ staff in making the community event possible.
