LOCAL ARTIST’S WORK RECEIVED BY VATICAN

Kerry Swank gave up a lucrative career as a photographer to focus on creating art from the visions she sees of angels

Once a celebrated black and white portrait photographer whose images graced the covers of magazines, Kerry Swank now lives a different lifestyle. From her tiny cottage in Laguna Beach she creates masterful images of angels –angels she says she sees in visions.

Last year her work was received by the Vatican and a letter from the Pope thanked her for her commitment to spreading the Word through her talents.

Not long before, Swank’s “Freedom,” an image of an angel walking through a cemetery, was gifted to the Pentagon just after 9/11, at the request of then-Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.

In her own words, Swank shares her story.
