FULLERTON — A total of 55 leaders from 20 different Korean American Catholic communities in the United States and Canada gathered at St. Thomas Korean Catholic Center from June 18 to 21 for the FIAT Foundation’s eighth annual leadership training retreat. FIAT Foundation, Inc. is a national Korean American Catholic nonprofit based in Orange County that seeks to empower lay leadership in the Korean American Catholic community.
The leaders represented ministries such as childhood formation, junior high ministry, English- and Korean-speaking young adult ministry and music ministry.
The foundation was started by Father Alex Kim, the director of St. Thomas Korean Catholic Center, in 1997.
