On Jan. 26, 12 students from JSerra Catholic High School took their first pro-life pilgrimage to San Francisco to attend Walk for Life West Coast. Now in its 15th year, the annual event aims to celebrate life and calls for solidarity in affirming human life.
Typically, over 40,000 demonstrators gather in downtown San Francisco and march 1.5 miles in silent protest of the legalization of abortion.
“This opportunity to participate in Walk for Life West Coast gave students an experience of the universal Church,” said JSerra’s Vice President of Mission and Faith Patrick Reidy. “It reinforced the truth that there are many others like themselves who are living a life devoted to Christ.”
Chaperoned by Mr. Reidy and his wife Sandra, the students agreed that the trip was one of the most memorable experiences of their young lives as it gave them the chance to bond with each other as well as meet other individuals who share the same beliefs.
