A special event for those with special needs.

By Staff     10/19/2018

Camp ReCreation’s Trunk or Treat will take place on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Christ Cathedral (Parking Lot P7) from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Through the generosity of the Knights of Columbus, Trunk or Treat is hosted by Catholic Charities OC’s Camp ReCreation and allows for children and adults with special needs to enjoy a fun family evening filled with arts and crafts, games, Trunk or Treating and dinner.

Guests have the opportunity to dress up as their favorite super hero or movie star while scaring the crowd or delighting them. With over 40 themed decorated cars, volunteers from the Catholic Charities Auxiliary, along with students from Mater Dei, Servite, Rosary, Santa Margarita and Connelly High Schools provide a welcoming and festive atmosphere for guests. Crowd-pleasing music has costumed campers and their families smiling and dancing the whole evening.

“Camp ReCreation’s Trunk or Treat event provides a unique opportunity for adults and children with special needs to celebrate Halloween in a fun, safe, and enriching environment,” said Madie Dibb-Fugate, director of Camp ReCreation. “Campers and their families have the opportunity to experience a night out, while making memories and friendships.”

All those who wish to participate MUST RSVP prior to Oct. 22. To RSVP email [email protected]; NO admission without a reservation.
