DISCERNING CATHOLIC WORLDVIEW IN SCHOOLS SURVEY- WINDOW CLOSING

By Dr. Erin Barisano     11/18/2019

Dear Catholic school teachers and administrators,

I am writing to remind you that our diocese has agreed to participate in the Discerning Catholic Worldviews in Catholic Schools survey conducted by Dr. Jorge Pena (Loyola University Chicago) and Dr. Timothy Uhl (Montana Catholic Schools).  Since Catholic Identity and Faith Formation are core priorities for our school’s strategic plan, I am requesting that all teachers and administrators take 10 minutes to complete the survey.  In summary, this survey will “measure Catholic Culture by discerning Catholic worldviews, mindsets, and affinities.  School culture is often defined as “the way we do things around here” but we are trying to uncover the allegiances and dispositions which help form a community’s culture.  If you can tap into the root beliefs, you can uncover the norms.  And if you can uncover the norms, you can discover the culture.”

The window to respond to the 10-minute survey closes Friday, November 22.  Here is information about the survey:

The survey asks for your preference about whether to remain anonymous or to identify yourself should you want your individual survey results. Participation in this study is completely voluntary. Please be aware that if you decide to participate, you may stop participating at any time and you made decide not to answer any specific question.
