Join Bishop Vann for Catholic Night at the Honda Center

By Cathi Douglas     1/23/2019

Catholic Night at the Honda Center on Friday, March 22, features the Anaheim Ducks battling the San Jose Sharks, followed by a special Catholic Trinity League exhibition game.

A family event for parishioners and friends, Catholic Night is held annually and attracts more than 1,000 Catholics from throughout the Diocese of Orange, says Hank Evers, director of marketing. The event is in its third year.

“Both the sport of professional hockey and the number of Catholic faithful in Orange County are increasing,” Evers notes. “The Ducks do a great job of welcoming us with signage and announcements throughout the game. Bishop Vann will drop the ceremonial first puck and we plan to surprise everyone with someone special riding the Zamboni during an intermission.”

This year, Santa Margarita Catholic High School and Servite High will play the exhibition game, which immediately follows the Ducks vs. Sharks game. Ducks game time is 7 p.m.

Discounted event tickets are available at AnaheimDucks.com/CatholicNight.com. The first 1,000 ticket purchasers will receive a limited-edition gray Anaheim Ducks Catholic Night hat.

Groups larger than 12 and others requiring information on luxury suite rentals are invited to contact Jennifer Hacker at [email protected].

“Join Bishop Kevin Vann and the Catholic community for Catholic Night at Honda Center,” Evers concludes.
