ANNUAL LUNCHEON GENERATES FUNDS FOR GRANDMA’S HOUSE OF HOPE

By STAFF     5/2/2016

Grandma’s House of Hope, a nonprofit organization that provides basic needs and enrichment services to women, children and families living in poverty and facing seemingly insurmountable circumstances, raised more than $29,000 at a March 29 luncheon.

Nearly 100 guests participated in the seventh annual Journey Through Hope and Healing Luncheon at the Anaheim White House. Guest speakers were Orange County Deputy District Attorney Bradley Shoenleben and a human trafficking survivor. Both provided insights into the growing local issue of sex slavery and human trafficking.

Honored at the event were San Antonio Catholic Church, which received the Community of Faith plaque. The Spirit of Hope was presented to Deacon Doug Cook for his support of Grandma’s House of Hope. The Servant Heart award was bestowed upon Danny Griffith, a longtime volunteer for the organization.
