Feb. 14 is celebrated as Valentine’s Day to show love to loved ones. At St. Irenaeus parish in Cypress, however, Valentine’s Day is celebrated throughout the whole month of February and the love reaches beyond immediate family. The parish’s Health Ministry members are asked to select Valentine cards made by junior high Peacemakers and high school students and deliver them in person to residents of the five care centers that are near St. Irenaeus’s parish during the month of February. Under the guidance of Youth Ministry Director Laura Benoit, a total of almost 100 Valentine cards were created and are being delivered to elderly residents.
