Roisin McAree, principal at Blessed Sacrament School in Westminster, was notified recently that seventh-grader Helen Nguyen has won the Zaner-Bloser National Handwriting Contest. Helen will be awarded an engraved trophy and a $1,000 check from the company that sponsors the annual contest. Blessed Sacrament also will receive a $1,000 award to purchase Zaner-Bloser products for their school. In addition, Helen’s teacher has earned round-trip, airfare and lodging to attend either the ILA Conference in Orlando, Florida or SDE in Las Vegas, Nevada.
