GARDEN GROVE — “Spirit-Filled Hearts,” a new weekly radio show examining various topics related to the Catholic faith and originating from the campus of Christ Cathedral, debuted June 3 with Deacon Steve Greco as host. The program airs from 8 to 9 a.m. Sundays on Immaculate Heart Radio (AM 1000 in Orange and San Diego Counties and AM 930 in Los Angeles County).

The show “is devoted to providing listeners with specific ways to grow closer in their faith and in their relationship with Jesus Christ,” says Deacon Steve, who is assigned to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Irvine. “The weekly topics will be designed to help listeners better understand today’s challenging environment and how to enhance their faith by receiving the love of Jesus Christ. Our guests will provide practical information on how to be Catholic in a secular world. They will include religious, lay and business leaders.”

Frequently joining Deacon Steve on the show will be his wife Mary Anne and Katie Hughes, the director of Spirit-Filled Hearts Ministry, an Orange County-based ministry founded by Deacon Steve and dedicated to the New Evangelization through such activities as prayer meetings and healing services, recordings, seminars and workshops, pilgrimages and other events.

Deacon Steve has been a health care executive for more than 35 years and was ordained to the diaconate in 2007. He is on the boards of Southern California Renewal Communities, the Loyola Institute for Spirituality and the Diocese of Orange Diaconate Formation.
