GARDEN GROVE — Pastors and Pastoral Services Appeal (PSA) leaders from all 62 parishes and centers in the Diocese of Orange gathered at the Cultural Center on the Christ Cathedral campus Dec. 5 for the annual PSA Kickoff Luncheon, in advance of the appeal’s start in January.

Bishop Kevin Vann addressed the group and thanked the representatives for their efforts and, following lunch, Marc Pitman, a nationally recognized author and speaker, presented a motivational talk on the many places in Scripture in which Jesus discusses money and the verses address financial stewardship.

The 2015 PSA—an annual campaign of the Orange Catholic Foundation that raises and grants funds to support ministries and services of the Diocese of Orange—will officially begin in all parishes and centers in the diocese beginning in January and will continue through Dec. 31, 2015. The fundraising goal for the year is $6,222,000.

Each parish is assigned a fundraising goal for the year, and every dollar that is raised over the parish goal is returned to the parish in the form of a rebate each month. The Orange Catholic Foundation has projected that parishes will receive rebates totaling $4,500,000 in 2015.
