Pope Francis was the first pilgrim to sign up for World Youth Day 2016 in Krakow. According to the latest data, more than 45,000 followed his example and have registered.
The 31st World Youth Day will be held July 25-31, 2016 and the theme for the event is “Blessed are the Merciful.”
The Pope will end the event with a Mass and the announcement of the location of next year’s event.
