The newly appointed FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, briefly met with the Pope last Sunday, accompanied by his wife and his mother.
The meeting was brief, but the Pope didn’t miss the opportunity to mention the corruption within FIFA.
“Clear paths and put things back in order and honesty,” the Pope advised.
“We want to do just that,” the FIFA president said.
