By STAFF     12/29/2016

YEARS MARRIED: 40

CHILDREN: 2

GRANDCHILDREN: 3

YEARS IN THE DIACONATE: 3

HOW THEY MET: “I met my wife through my cousin. He asked me to accompany him to go meet his girlfriend and my wife happened to be there. We hit it off and agreed to go out the following weekend and our relationship blossomed.”

WHAT THEY DO FOR FUN: “We love to go to the movies and travel and be with family.”

HIS ROLE IN THE CHURCH: “My position within the church is to be of service to the community. To facilitate the needs of my community and being that bridge between the congregation and our vicar and pastor. Celebrating baptisms, working with the RCIA program, organizing marriage prep classes and natural family planning classes just to mention a few.”

HIS MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE: “My most memorable experience during my time as deacon was celebrating my daughter’s marriage and baptizing my grandson on the same day.”

HIS GREATEST CHALLENGE: “Preparing my homilies is very challenging for me. It seems that when I am preparing my homily, I am faced with so many obstacles that prevent me from concentrating and reflecting on the sacred scripture.”

FAVORITE SCRIPTURE: John 15:16 — “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to bear fruit that will remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you.”
