By Staff     6/5/2017

Faithful the world over celebrated the apparition of Our Lady of Fatima on May 13, the 100th anniversary of the Blessed Mother’s appearance to three children in Fatima, Portugal. At the Diocese of Orange, hundreds filled the Arboretum at Christ Cathedral to celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Fatima.

The Saturday event began with a welcoming ceremony for the Pilgrimage Statue of Fatima, followed by a crowning of Mary. A procession and rosary was next and then Fr. Quan Tran delivered a C.A.R.E. message. The message centered on answering the urgent call to prayer and reparation by living the C.A.R.E. elements of Confession, Adoration, Rosary and Eucharist.

The trilingual Mass was concelebrated by Fr. Christopher Smith and Fr. Christopher Pham. The day concluded with Eucharistic adoration, praying of the rosary and private prayer before the statue until midnight.
