HOMES FOR VETERANS

The Catholic Coalition and Habitat for Humanity Break Ground on Two Homes for Veteran Families in Tustin

By Staff     11/6/2017

The Catholic Coalition and Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, along with the city of Tustin, on Oct. 23 held a ceremonial groundbreaking for two homes they will build collaboratively for two veteran families.

The groundbreaking at 140 S. A Street in Old Town Tustin is the first step to the construction of a low-income home and a moderate-income home for qualified veteran families by the Coalition.

The groundbreaking marks the culmination of a campaign spanning more than a year, aimed at collecting $150,000. The funds collected so far by the Catholic Coalition will be applied toward its first housing construction project in conjunction with Habitat OC. Only a few more parishes are needed to join the effort and contribute to meeting the final goal.

The Coalition members thank all the parishioners from all the parishes who have made this a success. The organization also acknowledges Bishop Vann and the Orange Catholic Foundation for their support.
