Dominican Sisters Johnellen Turner, O.P. and Sandra Rees, O.P. celebrated their Golden Jubilees last month. Turner and Rees entered their religious profession in 1967 by joining the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose. They will celebrate their renewal and commitment of religious life during this very special time.
Sister Johnellen and Sister Sandra entered the congregation fifty years ago, and have served in various ministries throughout their five decades of service. Sister Johnellen currently serves as the president and administrator of St.
Catherine’s Academy, a boys’ Catholic school with a military tradition. For the past 29 years, Sister Sandra has assumed the role of resident care provider at St. Catherine’s Academy’s Bravo Company dormitory.
