Under the direction of Bishop Timothy Freyer, the Diocese of Orange has established a donation platform for those wishing to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey. All funds collected will be given to Catholic Charities USA, which is providing humanitarian aid to the stricken region.
Bishop Freyer said in a diocesan-wide memorandum: “This past weekend we have seen the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey throughout a large part of Texas. As the rain continues, there will be even more devastation. I am grateful that so many of you included prayers for the people in Texas at Mass, and ask that you continue to pray for those who have been affected by Hurricane Harvey.”
