CORNELIA CONNELLY BIDS SISTER FRANCINE GUNTHER GOODBYE

AFTER 23 YEARS AS HEAD OF SCHOOL, SR. FRANCINE TAKES ON NEW ROLE WITH THE SOCIETY OF THE HOLY CHILD JESUS

On Sunday, April 30, students, faculty and staff celebrated the more than two decades of service to Cornelia Connelly by Sister Francine Gunther. A Mass, celebrated by Bishop Kevin Vann, and a reception honored Sr. Francine for her commitment to the school since arriving in 1994.

The Head of School announced her intention to move on to other pursuits in August of last year with this statement: “I have been truly blessed to be part of a school with a rich heritage of academic excellence, totally committed to the values of the Holy Child educational philosophy.”

Sr. Francine will be assuming a leadership role in the Society of the Holy Child Jesus.

Cheri Wood has been named the new Head of School, effective July 1.
