Several hundred attended Friday evening’s Christ Cathedral Candlelight Vigil, at which a shrine at the entrance of the cathedral was blessed and hundreds of candles were lit. The shrine will stay in place until the construction of Christ Cathedral begins early next year and people from around the world are expected to purchase candles online and have them lit with their prayer intentions recorded.
