The Office for Restorative Justice/Detention Ministry of the Diocese of Orange is seeking donations of new or used canes, walkers and wheelchairs for newly released jail inmates who are in need of them.
The devices will be distributed by the Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA).
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department cannot provide the assistive devices because most devices belonging to the department are designated specifically for use within the jail.
Donations are being accepted at the Office of Restorative Justice/Detention Ministry at 1820 W. Orangewood Ave., Suite 101, Orange. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
