FULLERTON—Jen Almand, the Interim Head of School at Rosary Academy since June, has been named to that position permanently.

Almand’s appointment comes as Rosary celebrates its 50th anniversary year and has changed its name from Rosary High School to Rosary Academy.

Since June, Almand “has shown her true leadership skills and ability to work with all parts of the community of Rosary Academy,” said Superintendent of Schools Gregory Dhuyvetter. “She has pulled together a strong unified leadership team and she has met with parents, students and alumnae to tell the good news of Rosary. She has worked closely with diocesan officials to gather support for the new direction of Rosary.

“We believe under her leadership and the leadership of her team, the school will continue on a trajectory for success, for grown and, most importantly, for the effective formation and education of young women today and tomorrow.”

Almand holds a master’s degree in Catholic school administration from Loyola Marymount University and previously served as the assistant principal of student services at Rosary.
